Luis Venegas was transported to Memorial University Medical Center after the 8:54 a.m. accident on Landings Way South at Water Witch Crossing in the Landings subdivision.

"He was walking his dog when he attempted to cross Landings Way South and was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 50-year-old woman," police say.
