At 3:50 p.m. Metro responded to the 300 block of North Williamsburg Road, "where John Miranda,18, of Savannah was found lying outside after being shot." Miranda was transported to Memorial University Medical Center in critical condition.

The suspect is "believed to be Hispanic or a fair complexioned black male, standing 6-0 to 6-2 and weighing 170 to 180. He has brown eyes and short, dark curly textured hair," police say.

During the incident the suspect wore a black shirt, black pants and black shoes. He is believed to have fled on foot toward Largo Drive.
