The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Violent Crime Task Force and Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred Tuesday morning on Savannah’s east side.

At 10:11 a.m. both agencies responded to the Wells Fargo branch on the 1900 block of East Victory Drive. Investigators learned that a male suspect entered the bank, displaying a gun and demanding cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, standing 6-0 and weighing roughly 190 pounds. During the incident he wore a yellow hat with a Polo logo, a camouflage bandana over his face and dark colored pants.
