Body found on Eastside ID'ed

Detectives of Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department have identified a deceased man found outside McAlpin Square Friday night.

"Metro responded to the shopping plaza at about 8:15 p.m. where Allen J. Harrelson, 48 was found unresponsive. No foul play is suspected at this time," police say.

Metro detectives, Islands Precinct patrol officers, Forensics, EMS and the Chatham County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene.

Harrelson’s family was notified.
