Re: “You. Bars. Drink. Charity. Afterparty.

But do they actually crawl? Why are there no pictures of past crawls?

Re: “The Odd Lot: Now with more laughs!

I have never laughed so hard at a comedy/improv show then at the ODDLOT. They are fast, funny and above all they are clean.

Re: “Like father, like son

Great stuff ... and make sure to check out the funky folk art at Action Jackson Art at www.actionjacksonart.com. It's original and hilarious .. especially the "skool" paintings and the Betty Smithsonians. Hilarious!

Re: “Go nuts!

A few corrections:
Columbia City's Artistic Director is William Starrett, not Styron.
Also, to classify Savannah Ballet Theatre's production as "not professional" is inaccurate. Your preview makes it sound as if SBT's production is a homespun holiday recital when, in fact, SBT is a professional company, and their performance of "The Nutcracker in Savannah" is fully-staged.
SBT's productions are supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts and the City of Savannah Department of Cultural Affairs Weave-a-Dream grant through appropriations from the National Endowment for the Arts.
Artistic Director Suzanne Braddy and Guest Choreographer Joulia Moisseeva both have impressive resumes, and lead roles are interpreted by seasoned professional guest artists and exceptionally talented professional and pre-professional company members.
Lastly, Savannah Philharmonic has not provided live music for SBT's Nutcracker since 2010. With newly focused and strategic fundraising efforts, SBT looks forward to working with the Phil again very soon and hopefully in 2014.

Re: “The art also rises

I don't work at SCAD anymore, but to make sure your reporting is accurate, SCAD grads pay for their exhibitions if they chose to show in a gallery that is not a SCAD gallery.

Re: “Between Heaven and Hell: Purgatorio

"Hell is other people" is only one side of the coin. The other side, which no one seems to mention, is also "Heaven is each other". Hell is separateness, uncommunicability, self-centeredness, lust for power, for riches, for fame. Heaven on the other hand is very simple, and very hard: caring about your fellow beings. And that’s possible on a sustained basis only in collectivity.

Re: “Equus: Nudity, horses... and cyborgs?

Zach and the horse connect well in the play because they're both well endowed.
