Seems to me like this is an arbitrary tax on those who were already most affected by the storm. One that feels like it should be illegal, if it isn't already.
No one who urges a measured and rational approach to the issue of Confederate monuments is being labeled a "Nazi sympathizer." That bit of hyperbole might be a bit unfair.
For most reasonably-intelligent people, the term "Nazi sympathizer" is reserved for the turds who marched around Charlottesville yelling racist chants (or any of their brethren who feel the same way but couldn't make the trip to Charlottesville because their mother needed the car that day) and any politicians who baselessly claim that there were some "very fine people" amongst the hateful, torch-wielding idiots.
Oh, so the lovely folks who live in (or near) that disgusting homeless camp under the Truman burned this place down and made everyone's morning commute a complete nightmare?
Look, I have nothing against the homeless. It's probably not their fault they're mentally ill and unable to function in society (unless their craziness is a result of a lifetime of heavy drug abuse, in which case they officially serve no purpose in the world). But do we really need them living in tents along major roadways and burning down nearby buildings? Do those in charge of this city really think that this is fine and normal?
There has to be a tactful way to relocate the homeless to another area, far away from normal people like myself.

Any opinions?
