Baroque with Savannah Philharmonic @The Lucas Theatre

The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra will team up with Savannah Children’s Choir and alumni soloists in honor of SCC’s tenth season in this special presentation.

Together, the collective will perform Vivaldi’s integral hymn Gloria.

Soprano Heidi Bindhammer and baritone Russell Watkins lead The Philharmonic Chorus in Bach’s Cantata No. 192 “Nun danket alle Gott.”

In Marcello’s Oboe Concerto in C minor and Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. Major, Savannah Philharmonic musicians act as featured soloists.

Additional pieces include Handel’s Arrival of the Queen of Sheba (from “Solomon”) and Handel’s Zadoc the Priest.

Soloists include Sinisa Ciric on violin, Jeana Melilli on flute and Andrew Jay Ripley on oboe.

Thursday, November 19, 7:30 p.m., $16-75, all-ages
