Open House -- SCAD’s Earle W. Newton Center for British-American Studies presents a summer open house, Sunday, Aug. 15, 1-5 p.m., and a summer exhibition reception, Monday, Aug. 16, 5-7 p.m., at the Newton Center, 227 MLK Jr. Blvd. Refreshments will be served and the events are free and open to the public.


‘Natalie Bray: Ritual Interiors’ --
SCAD presents this photography exhibition that explores spaces of community ritual through Aug. 12, at Orleans Gallery, 201 Barnard St.

Margaret Dulohery -- This local artist exhibits her work through Aug. 31 at the Hospice Savannah Art Gallery at 132 Eisenhower Dr. Meet her at the opening reception Thursday, Aug. 12 from 5:30-8 p.m. at the gallery.


‘La Flora: A Celebration of Signature Style’ -- SCAD presents this mixed-media exploration of feminine artistic identity, Aug. 5-Oct. 3, at Red Gallery, 201 E. Broughton St. Free and open to the public. “La Flora” presents examples of feminine individual identity by SCAD faculty Katherine Sandoz and Amy Freeman; alumni Kara D’Angelo, Sarah Pulskamp McCarn, Suzanne Rader, Susan Laney and Katie Runnels; and internationally renowned artists Liliana Porter and Jenny Watson.

‘Sense of Otherness’ -- SCAD presents this mixed media exhibition exploring the issues of migration and hybrid culture in contemporary Asian-American art, through Aug. 18, at Pinnacle Gallery, 320 E. Liberty St.


Bernard D’Andrea: Five Decades of Evolution -- The Telfair Museum of Art will host a major exhibition of works by New York painter/illustrator, and long-time Hilton Head Island resident, Bernard D’Andrea through Sept. 5.
