‘Juveniles on Death Row’ -- Savannah State University, in conjunction with Amnesty International Savannah, presents this lecture by New York photographer Toshi Kazama Sept. 21 at 6:30 p.m. and Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. in Adams Hall. The lecture is in conjunction with an exhibit of Kazama’s work, on display in Adams Hall on Sept. 20, noon- 9 p.m. and Sept 21-22, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. The exhibit and lecture are part of Amnesty International’s Stop Child Executions! campaign, which calls for an end to the death penalty against child offenders.

'Sixteen' --
Oil paintings and tapestries by Hong Tran, reflecting the struggle to survive the brutal regime of Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia.

‘Multi-dimensional Landscapes’ -- Black & white photos by Joe Dyer now on display through Nov. 13 at Venus de Milo, 38 MLK Jr. Blvd. Reception is Sept. 30 from 7-10 p.m.

‘Wet SPACE’ -- Art Camp students recently studied the fundamentals of 2 and 3-D design. Students worked on individual and group projects with a focus on sea life. Their work will be on display through early October at Gallery S.P.A.C.E., 9 E. Henry St.

‘Improvisations in Jazz’ -- Prints of local and national jazz musicians on display Sept. 13-30 at Suzabelle’s, 102 E. Broad.

‘Tool Set: Post/American Reality’ -- SCAD presents this exhibit Sept. 26-Oct. 30, at Orleans Hall Gallery, 201 Barnard St. The exhibition will be featured as part of the college’s monthly gallery hop, Friday, Oct. 1, 5-7 p.m. Free and open to the public. “Tool Set” is a moving image exhibition exploring American reality through video and audio postproduction software.

‘Exploring Watercolor- People, Places and Things’ -- Work by Jill Chafin and Lynn Hosegood is on display at Gallery 440, 440 Bull Street. September hours are Thursday- Saturday, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. or by appointment. Call 790-1144.

‘Obscure Enlightenment’ -- SCAD presents this exhibition by graphic design alumna Renee Hodges through Oct. 1, in the May Poetter Gallery in Poetter Hall, 342 Bull St. Free and open to the public.

‘Cuba: Habana Now’
-- The Opus Gallery and Elysium Gallery, both on Chippewa Square, will host this retrospective exhibition. Participating in the effort are local art dealers with Simon Bowden Galleries, local Cuban-American artist Julio Garcia
