Graveface Records welcomes its newest signees for an intimate in-shop concert. If you haven’t heard of CLOSENESS yet, you might know its members—husband and wife team Todd Fink, frontman of The Faint and Orenda Fink, one half of dream-pop duo Azure Ray, are synonymous with indie label Saddle Creek and staples of early-mid 2000s indie rock.
In 2015, after Orenda underwent heart surgery, the Finks began composing songs for CLOSENESS, a dreamy electronic project that encompasses Southern Gothic moodiness and otherworldly beauty. Finding inspiration in The Knife, Pink Floyd, Crystal Castles, and The Zombies, they’ve honed a sound that’s both new age in its glow and dance-floor ready thanks to its deep rhythms.
The band’s currently touring their Graveface Records debut, Personality Therapy. The performance inside the label’s shop marks the band’s first Savannah appearance.
Savannah’s own Sunglow opens.
