FOR THE HOPPY COUPLE: Love is Brewing @Southbound Brewing Company

IF YOUR beer-fanatic boo’s lovesick and ale-in’ (thank you, I’ll be here all week), take them Southbound the special day. Les Racquet performs, and the beer masters will be pouring samples of Southbound’s draft lineup. The new Les Racquet Imperial is among the offerings; the band collaborated with the brewery to scheme up the brown ale with hints of cocoa (appropriate, no?).

Though Lathrop may be a little ways off the typical date night route, Southbound has you covered for the whole evening. Make it a dinner date and dine on warm, homey Scottish pub fare off of Molly MacPherson’s food truck (!!!), parked outside the brewery.

Sweet tooth demanding a little more than the chocolatey notes wafting from your souvenir pint glass? River Street Sweets will be onhand to satisfy your cravings—plus, all their profits go toward the historic Tybee Post Theater.

If you both want to sample the smorgasbord of hoppy delights, not to worry; spring for the $60 ticket option, which includes round-trip party bus transportation. It’ll even take you over to the after-party at Barrelhouse South, where The Accomplices will play with Athens band Radio Birds.

7:30 p.m. $30 for admission, tasting, and pint glass; $60 for all of the above, plus transportation; $100 for all of the above, VIP entrance, and front-row table seating. Tickets at staffordpromotions.com.
