Here's what's going on today (Tuesday, Jan. 15): The Coastal Jazz Association's 15th annual Musical Salute to Martin Luther King, Jr. counts off at 7 p.m. at the Jewish Educational Alliance, 5111 Abercorn St. At the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension, 122 Bull Street, the first quarterfinal of the 2013 American Traditions Competition begins at 5 p.m. The film Eating Alabama screens at the Lucas Theatre at 7 p.m. It's Hip Hop Night at the Jinx.
