Theme party from one of Savannah’s longest-running scenemakers, This one features live DJ’s Kiah and Shrapnel, as well as a variety of sin-themed contests and giveaways. Sat., 9 pm, Velouria.

The Dirty Hairys

Jacksonville cover band playing classic, Southern rock and R & B. Fri., The Oyster Bar (Wilmington Island).


Trae Gurley's Sinatra

Local thespian putting his own live spin on Frank’s big band classics. Thurs., Jazz’d Tapas Bar + Fri., 6 pm, Go Fish.


Louder than bombs modern metal act from Hinesville, playing their own material. Fri., 10 pm, The Gold Club (HWY 17 near Hardeeville).

High Velocity

Fiery Southern rock hits and originals – featuring former members of local faves Bounty Hunter. Fri. - Sat., 9 pm, Silver Dollar Bar & Grill (Hwy 204).


Loch Ness Johnny

Celtic rock band from Columbia, South carolina with an Appalachian twang. Fri., O’Connell’s Irish Pub.


Underrated local groove band drawing on reggae, hip-hop and soul. They tour the region and deserve a large following here in town. Tues., Fiddler’s Crab House.


The Howard Paul Trio

Jazz from a respected seven-string guitarist. Fri., 9 pm, Jazz’d Tapas Bar.

Phantom Wingo

Intricate, occasionally dazzling jam band that’s more firmly rooted in incendiary blues than most of their ilk. Thurs., Savannah Blues.

The Rounders

‘70s -style outlaw country, with an authentic sound akin to David Allan Cole. With local opener Whiskey Dick, a solo songwriter cut form the same ragged, muddy cloth. Sat., The Jinx.


St. Somewhere

Touring “Caribbean Americana” act mixing island percussion with roots-rock. Fri., 9 pm, City Market Courtyard.

Rachael Sage

NYC indie artist who won the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and has toured with Ani DiFranco and played with Suzanne Vega and at Lilith Fair. Tennessee’s “funky-folk fusion” artist Brandy Robinson opens with a solo set that draws on hip-hop and pop. Sun., 8 pm, The Sentient Bean.

Shadow Boys

NYC act mixing Americana, tin pan alley, garage rock, blues, rockabilly and punk, with a humorous lyrical sensibility. Thurs., 8 pm, The Sentient Bean.

Spitfire Poetry Youth Slam

Spoken word competition open to area kids, with $50 cash prizes awarded in a number of categories. Sat., 5 pm, The Sentient Bean.


The Veraflames

Excellent cover group specializing in straight up rock and roll. An area favorite for well over two decades. Thurs., 9 pm, 912 (formerly Aprés - above Il Pasticcio) .


Vermillion X

The Jimmy Wolling Band
