Nov. 10: Today's events 

Here's what's going on today (Saturday, Nov. 10): "A Night at the Opera," the annual first-class opera concert to benefit the Savannah Children's Choir, takes place at 5 p.m. at the SCAD Museum of Art. The Telfair Art Fair rolls along until 5 p.m. in Telfair Square. The Children's Book Festival is in Forsyth Park all day. Geekend continues. Country music hitmaker Jake Owen plays the Johnny Mercer Theatre tonight. Johnny Mercer and Me continues at Muse Arts Warehouse (Friday's opening performance sold out) and Neil Simon's God's Favorite is onstage at Asbury Memorial Church. At the Trustees Theater, they're screening Stanley Kubrick's The Shining at 7 p.m.

In the clubs: It's electronica night at Dosha, with Aligning Minds and more live music (and DJs); Humungus is at the Jinx; at Live Wire, several local bands play a benefit for Hurricane Sandy victims; Screamin' Mimi's features Emoticon, Sanction the Radio and Dinosaur Tea Party; Bamboo Forest and Big Awesome are at Taco Abajo; Denney & the Jets and Tristan are at the Wormhole.
