Oct. 28: Today's events 

Here's what's going on today (Sunday, Oct. 28): Day Two of the Savannah Film Festival includes a screening of Hairspray, with director Adam Shankman, the new Denzel Washington thrill Flight, with festival honoree John Goodman in attendance, and Violet & Daisy, followed by a Q&A with writer/director Geoffrey Fletcher and star James Gandolfini. The Shalom Y'all Jewish Food Festival is in Forsyth Park 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and in Daffin Park, the Savannah Food Day Festival happens from 11 to 6. From 5 to 10 p.m., it's Vinyl Appreciation (DJ event) at Muse Arts Warehouse.
