Sept. 1: Today's events

Here's what's going on today (Saturday, Sept. 1): September begins with the first full day of the Savannah Craft Beer Fest at the Westin, and the Midnight Garden (bicycle) Ride; the latter concludes with a 9 p.m. Ponderosa concert on Telfair Square. The Charlie Fog Band salutes the Grateful Dead at Flip Flop Tiki Bar, Georgia's jam-band godfather Col. Bruce Hampton is at Live Wire, and Betsy Franck and the Bareknuckle Band are at Satisfied (formerly Loco's).
