Sept. 8: Today's events 

Here's what's going on today (Saturday, Sept. 8): Pride Fest takes place in Forsyth Park from 11:45 a.m. until 10 at night. JoJo, Sexual Side Effects, Word of Mouth, Cusses and Basik Lee are among the performers. At the Lucas Theatre, the Savannah Philharmonic season opening concert has a 7:30 curtain. Meddin Studios screens the 48 Hour Film Project films again at 7 p.m. Weedeater, Conquer/Devour and Savagist play metal at the Jinx; the band Christ, Lord brings Eastern European sounds to the Sentient Bean.
