The Blotter

• Police responded to the report of a fight between two juveniles, a boy and girl. The mother of the boy said he had been walking home from school when he was approached by a group of people, including the girl. The girl “struck the boy on the right side of the face with a closed fist.” The victim said he was accused of “jumping on” some relatives of the suspect. The boy had swelling and a knot on his face, but declined medical treatment.

• A woman called police after her neighbor’s three pit bull dogs were out of their fence. She said the dogs were “preventing her from leaving her residence because they were growling and approaching her aggressively.” She said this type of situation has occurred several times before.

• A man parked his vehicle on the third deck of a hospital parking garage. When he returned, he found his right rear window was broken and his steering column was damaged. The man said $325 was missing from the console of his car.

• A woman told police that “a man she had hired to do some work stole a check that was made out by her to another business.” The man scratched out the business’s name and put in his own name.

• A woman stated that her brother came to her Hitch Drive residence and began to argue about some clothes that he had left there. She said “he pushed over two television sets and threw a cell phone to the ground.” All three were damaged. The man was not at the scene when police arrived. When contacted by phone, he said he did not damage the items in question.
