The Blotter

• A man called police to report he had seen a suspicious subject exiting a parked car at President and Barnard streets. At the sight of a marked police car, the suspect ducked and entered a blue Ford Taurus. Eventually it was determined that the car had been stolen. When searching the suspect, officers found two credit cards issues to one woman, a pink purse with paperwork and a Georgia ID that belonged to a second woman, and two cell phones and a set of keys that belonged to a third woman.

• Police investigating an accident on Emerald Drive discovered the vehicle that was involved had been stolen. The vehicle was not operable due to the accident. The owner, when located, said she had come home from church and was outside for about 15 minutes. Three boys from the neighborhood were playing around the van. She said she had had problems with the three in the past. A neighbor asked to borrow the key to the vehicle to retrieve some belongings inside, and the owner has not seen the key or the vehicle since.

• An officer responded to a report of a domestic dispute at an Ogeechee Road motel. A woman at the scene said she was three months pregnant by her boyfriend. She said they got into a verbal dispute. She said she did not want to file a report, she just wanted her keys and cell phone. The cell phone was recovered, but the keys could not be located. The woman left with her mother. The boyfriend was not on the scene when police arrived and could not be questioned.
