Brea Cali named Savannah Dance Festival director
Brea Cali has been appointed Executive Director of the Savannah Dance Festival.
“Ms. Cali brings a wealth of experience and is uniquely qualified and passionately motivated to take the organization to the next level," says founder Pat Alley.
“While remaining committed to the organization’s mission of advocating Dance, the vision of SDF will evolve,” says Cali. “Development and implementation of new, forward thinking strategies intend to expand the organization’s involvement within Savannah and its surrounding communities, as well as bolster Savannah’s global standing as an emerging arts capital.”
Most recently, Cali directed and choreographed the Savannah Stage Co. production of Syncopation.
Added Cali: “Savannah is home to an incredibly dynamic Dance community which greatly contributes to the betterment of the city on an economic, educational and social level.”
Cali joins the Savannah Dance Festival following an extensive performing career throughout the United States and Europe; most recently having spent almost six years as a soloist performer for the State Theater of Kassel in Kassel, Germany.
