Yonder Mountain String Band to play Trustees Garden in Oct.

Posted By on Thu, Sep 11, 2014 at 6:54 PM

Yonder Mountain String Band headlines music festivals and venues across the country on their Fall Tour 2014, including a stop at Savannah's Trustees Garden on Oct. 26.

Over the past decade and a half — much of it on the road — Yonder Mountain String Band has spearheaded a renegade movement to rewrite the definition of bluegrass. Alongside other neo-bluegrass friends such as Leftover Salmon, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, The Travelin' McCourys, and Railroad Earth, YMSB has revitalized and contemporized bluegrass.

The idea of leaving for a more safe locale seems almost inconceivable to those of us who’ve invested many years and whole lifetimes here. But Savannah’s just like anyplace else— people and businesses can decide it’s just not worth it anymore.
