Reynolds Street homicide investigated

Detectives for Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the Monday morning shooting death of a Savannah man.

Oct. 27, just after midnight, Tyrone Ellis, 24, was shot inside of a residence on the 2000 block of Reynolds Street in Midtown. He was transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center where he died Monday afternoon.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637) using the keyword CSTOP2020. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
