Attempted sexual assault at Barnard and Hull

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating an attempted sexual assault on Barnard St. near Hull St.

At approximately3:50 a.m. Saturday, "a female was walking south on Barnard St. when a white male approached her from her side and jumped on her," police say.

"The female struggled with the individual, kicked and struck him several times before getting away. The female went to a convenience store on Drayton St. and called police. The male was last seeing running north on Barnard St."
