Lane closures resulting in traffic delays are expected on the Talmadge Bridge between noon and 8 p.m. on Friday, "a timeframe in which large crowds of Rock-n-Roll Marathon participants will travel to and from the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center to register for the race," police say.
Due to construction on the Back River Bridge, traffic delays are anticipated on the southbound side of the Talmadge. "Drivers seeking alternates routes to Hutchinson Island, where the Convention Center is located, may utilize free water ferries. Ferry docks are located on River Street near the Bull Street Ramp," police say.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police will utilize SCMPD.org to advise residents and visitors of information surrounding Saturday’s Rock n’ Roll Marathon.
