Death of woman found in woods deemed suspicious

Detectives of Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department have launched an investigation into the suspicious death of Linda Jenkins, 57, found just beyond the wood line on Entellmann Street and Fenwick Avenue on Friday, March 25.

Metro arrived at the scene at about 6:38 p.m. after a citizen’s report of finding the decedent. Metro’s Patrol Division, Violent Crimes detectives and Forensics Unit responded. An autopsy at the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab will be scheduled at a later date to determine cause of death.

Circumstances leading up to this death remain under investigation.
