Detectives are investigating a home invasion and robbery that occurred at about 3 a.m., June 23, at the Jasmine Place apartment complex in the 2300 block of Downing Avenue.

"The case is still under investigation, but detectives believe the circumstances of the event may not be random," police say.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, approximately 5-feet, 10-inches tall and 130 pounds. He was wearing a white tank top and basketball shorts.

"He also has the number 21 tattooed on his chest and was armed with a pistol," police say. "The suspect fled the scene with various electronics he stole from the residence."
