Family and police to meet, call for community assistance four years after unsolved murder

Tomorrow, Friday, March 24, 2017 marks the four-year anniversary of the murder of Amistica “Misty” Grell. Police say that members of Grell’s family will gather at a tree near where she was killed on Friday, Mar. 24 at 5:30 p.m. to remember her.

"Grell, 35, was murdered on Sunday, March 24, 2013. Violent Crimes detectives found her body on the front porch of her house in the 600 block of West 40th Street in the Cuyler-Brownville area at about 10:30 p.m." police report.

The case remains unsolved and is being actively investigated by the SCMPD’s Cold Case Unit.

Anyone with any information on this case can call 911 or contact the SCMPD tip line at (912) 525-3124. Information may also be forwarded to CrimeStoppers at (912) 234-2020. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
