The suspect in a March 22 robbery of a West Chatham Parker's is in custody.

Jamarea Mack, 22, was transported on Tuesday to the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department headquarters. He was charged with armed robbery and taken into custody without incident.

Tips from citizens who viewed Mack’s photo on SCMPD social media pages and on local media outlets aided investigators in this case, police say.

Metro officers responded to the 2100 block of Benton Boulevard at around 11:30 p.m. March 22.

"Reportedly, the male suspect walked into the store and demanded cash. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect fled the store in an unknown direction," says Keturah Greene of the SCMPD Public Affairs Office.
