Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating a triple homicide in the 1100 block of East 31st Street.

"At about 1:15am, officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 Block of East 31st Street. Upon arrival they located Shayla Curtis, 18, William Mullins, 24, and Courtney German, 31, who had succumbed to their injuries," police report.

The murders break a long lull in homicides in the SCMPD jurisdiction.

"Evidence suggests that this shooting involved gang members and is gang-related," police now report.
A person of interest is in custody and is ID'ed as Keith Lamont Marrow Jr., who had been arrested in Hardeeville SC on unrelated charges.

Anyone with information on this case should contact the SCMPD tip line by dialing (912) 525-3124.
