Annual Savannah Boat Parade of Lights Shines for 22nd Year

WATCH SLIDESHOW

For over 20 years, the Savannah Boat Parade of Lights has been kicking off the holiday season with their annual show of whimsically decorated vessels. The boats, a mix of powerboats, sailboats and yachts, followed the Georgia Queen Riverboat on Nov. 25 as they made their way from the Eastern Wharf Dock at the Thompson Savannah Hotel, past Plant Riverside District to the Talmadge Bridge and back.

This year, proceeds raised by the parade went to Greenbriar Children's Center, an organization that offers accredited and affordable early learning programs, childcare, counseling services and more. The Savannah Boat Parade of Lights, an entirely volunteer run event, brightened up the night and featured boats adorned with Santa Claus, the Grinch and Buc-ee's beaver mascot along with spirited boat captains and crew members.
