Parker’s Kitchen to host official ribbon cutting for newest store in Savannah

Parker’s Kitchen, an award-winning convenience store and food service company, will host a special grand opening celebration on Monday, June 17, at 11 a.m. for a new, state-of-the-art Parker’s Kitchen at 1750 Grove Point Road in Savannah. Members of the media and the general public are welcome to attend the ribbon cutting for the company’s 89th store. On-site attendees will include Parker’s Kitchen Founder and CEO Greg Parker, Savannah Mayor Van Johnson, local dignitaries and Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce representatives.

The newest Parker’s Kitchen location in Savannah is located in Georgetown and offers award-winning, Southern-inspired food prepared fresh on-site, including hand-breaded Southern fried chicken tenders, savory mac ‘n’ cheese and a complete menu of breakfast offerings including egg casserole; sausage, egg and cheese biscuits; and more. The store features a new Lowcountry-inspired prototype with a modern, contemporary glass-front façade, lime-washed brick, handsome bracketry, designer lighting and the cleanest bathrooms in the industry.

Author Mary J. Nestor to sign books at Barnes & Noble Oglethorpe Mall

Matt McKee

Outside Brands has appointed Matthew McKee as their new Marketing Director and Madeline Cox as their new Marketing Manager. McKee is a classically trained marketer who hails from Chicago, Illinois and comes to Outside Brands with over 30 years of experience in advertising and marketing. Most recently, he served as the president and CEO of FAS, a hybrid management consultancy/ad agency that he founded in 2014. Prior to that he held leadership positions at a variety of Chicago based ad firms and served as director of marketing for Outside magazine (not related to Outside Brands). He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and DePaul University, and has guest lectured at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, among other schools. McKee has been married for 27 years to wife Rani, and is the proud father of Calvin, a lieutenant in the U.S. Army and a 2022 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Outside Brands offers "Fireworks and Nature" boat cruises during Harbourfest

Outside Brands has launched their annual “Fireworks and Nature” boat cruises in conjunction with the island’s annual HarbourFest firework displays. These unique tours are offered every Tuesday evening starting at 7:30 p.m. from early June until Tuesday, August 20.

Departing from Shelter Cove Marina, this three-hour tour starts with a 90-minute Dolphin Eco Tour and ends with front-row seats for the fireworks display over the salt marsh of Broad Creek.
