High school football teams began practicing on July 31 across the state of Georgia. The 2023 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) season starts the week of Friday, Aug. 18, with some teams kicking off on Thursday, Aug. 17. The annual Savannah Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) Football Media Day is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 16.
Below, you’ll find the schedules for every area GHSA team, sorted by region.
First, several scrimmage games have been scheduled for the week prior to the season beginning. Here’s a look at some of those upcoming matchups.

Here is every area team’s 2023 regular season schedule. The first game of the regular season for area teams will be Savannah Country Day at Windsor Forest on Thursday, August 17. Set for a 7 p.m. kickoff, that game will be played at Savannah High Stadium.
