James W. Zobel will discuss how, early in his military career, Major Douglas MacArthur led the 42nd Infantry Division – comprised of units from 26 states and the District of Columbia – during World War I, years before he became a general. Zobel is the librarian, curator and caretaker for more than two million documents, 100,000 photographs, 500 films and 25,000 books at the MacArthur Memorial.
