A church in Savannah lost its steeple today after it caught on fire from what the pastor says was a lightning bolt that struck the top of the 102-year-old church.
Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control in approximately 30 minutes. Savannah Fire investigators did determine the fire was caused by a lightning strike.
Pastor Tyrone Edwards was inside Central Missionary Baptist Church when it happened.
