Re: “Selwyn Birchwood @Barrelhouse South

Selwyn was the Blues Night headliner for the Savannah Jazz Festival about four years ago. He was fantastic. Blew everyone away. He later participated in the after festival jam session at Rancho Alegre. It was a great night!

Re: “Victory North celebrates launch with Little Tybee

Seems like every article Connect does for the music and theater are all q&a. What happened to actually writing? I miss the catchy titles and thoughtful writing. Does anyone agree? Am I missing something?

Re: “Barr Nobles: Remembering a Savannah renegade DJ, music writer, and activist

Barr was a close friend of mine in SF, staying with me and wife when he came to SF, for several months. I told him once he should write and sing a song titled, What Do You Do When You're Lower Than The Blues?" A few months later, he sang the song for me at an SF Club,, the song told about his many struggles but also about the 'positive adventures' in his life. The many times he and I laughed about how silly our world was becoming, too often avoiding what was truly vital, for something nonsensical, kept us in very deep laughter for years! I miss his loving, courageous, humorous, talented and caring nature, he was the best of what is truly human I have known in my life, and more than a friend, he was often a living and constant inspiration when he spoke or sung about our world.

Re: “Savannah Music Festival Review: Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill

Very perceptive, Hayes plays in the very beautiful east Clare lazy style, almost hypnotic. Well captured

Re: “A Big Gigantic Sound

Technology has even revolutionized creation of music. Most of the music creators don't use all the musical instruments the sound is just on a phone or a laptop. You can use some apps to create music on your iPhone on the go. Visit https://www.mactechnicalsupportnumbers.com/apple-id/

Re: “Apple, peeled

A few in accuracies in that Thingummybob (Apple 4) wasnt the first Apple release, it was Those were the days (Apple 2). Saturday night special had already been released before Apple released it - a hit in Australia, I believe.

Re: “Black Tusk resets the dial

This is an example of Idiocracy (the movie) creeping up into reality. It's not 4 yrs until we elect a new President, but only 2.5 yrs. Math Is Hard, apparently.

Re: “1964 The Tribute: The Fabulous Faux Four return to Savannah

I'd like to see this band, bet they're good. Best Beatles-channelling act I've seen
so far is the Monalisa Twins, two young girls out of Austria who have become the house band at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. They have bass and drums backing them, Lisa plays lead and Mona plays rhythm.
