Re: “5 Questions with Chris Ryba

Awesome pictures. I agree about work-life balance. It made me want to have a vacation in Tybee Island GA. I'm going to check to get tips on the best time to visit.

Re: “Celebrate Guy Woodward's life

I knew Woodie over thirty years ago in Santa Cruz where he was very successful in Real Estate. I discovered he had also moved to Savannah not long after I moved here in 06. We saw each other occasionally and chatted about business, art and life. I only this week learned he is gone. Sorry I missed the event in June.

Re: “Zach Powers launches a new book and a new season of Seersucker Live

It can't be any more "fictitious" than the fantasies spilled on the world by NASA. No crater below the lander, no tracks made by the giant-wheeled vehicle and no inkling of how it got to the moon--of course it didn't get to the moon, it was all filmed on a soundstage for the sheep. The rock with the large letter "C" carved into it, the size of the hatches on the landing vehicle as opposed to the large backpacks seen on the astronauts, the flag flies even though there is no wind on the moon, a half-million mile trip in eight days including time for golf on the moon, free and easy passage through the Van Allen Radiation Belt, the loose photographs placed on the strut of the lander--and on and on. Big Lies.

Re: “Armstrong: More than a name

Maybe a room in one of buildings can be named after George Armstrong, if they want to keep his legacy alive.

Is it possible to just show up and perform? What is the sign up protocol and is there a time limit to share material?

Re: “Geoff L. Johnson: Tripping over history

Well, he used the word punchline and he grinned about it so apparently he may be great photographer and history buff, but he is a callous human being. (Also, "spending a day" with someone does not make them a master mariner, just an under-informed armchair captain.)

Re: “Geoff L. Johnson: Tripping over history

I don't think he meant "punchline" as a joke or in a way to devalue the incident, but more in a "twist to the story" kind of way. Who would joke about that? Think about it.

Re: “Geoff L. Johnson: Tripping over history

Wow, he spent A Whole Day aboard the ship. That must have given him great insight into the whole situation. "Went down on CNN"?? What a lame remark on a tragic situation.
