‘By Hand -- African American Advertising Art in Savannah’ -- This exhibition at the King Tisdell Cottage, 502 E. Harris St.

features images made by local African American sign painters.



‘Helen Slater as Supergirl’ -- Exhibition by SCAD professor of painting Craig Drennen using the theme of 1984’s Supergirl and its star Helen Slater to address the relationship between film and the traditional fine arts. ‘From Apache to Zuni’
-- The Telfair Museum of Art hosts this exhibit of Native American objects from the Lowe Museum from Sept. 25-Jan. 2. Several events and lectures dealing with the exhibit will be held throughout October.
