Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred near the intersection of East 33rd Lane and Atlantic Street, June 9.
"Metro responded to the scene at approximately 10:20 p.m. finding Theron Robbins, 32, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene," police say.
Investigators "do not believe this was a random occurrence and are working to determine the circumstances that led to this incident," police say.
