City Hotel broke onto the scene in 2012 with “Savannah Grass,” a five-song EP that combined their taste for old-time tuneage, a love of language, Southern storytelling, and in-the-round harmonies. The band’s come a long way from their early days, becoming one of Savannah’s most in-demand acts and spinning off into countless solo and side projects (Swamptooth, Cory Chambers Jazz Band, The Grand Gestures, and many more offer a chance to see the gents outside their bluegrass element).
Fans have been chomping at the bit for an album to follow Dogged Days, City Hotel’s masterful 2015 debut full-length, and they’ll soon get it. Aaron Zimmer, Cory Chambers, Jay Rudd, and Anthony Teixeria are putting the final touches on a fresh record as you read this and are planning on a late summer or early fall release.
