How Great Thou Art @Trinity UMC

In 1967, The King of Rock 'n’ Roll released his definitive gospel record How Great Thou Art. On his second album of sacred music, Elvis selected his own favorite songs to record, arranging several himself. Savannah's own crooner, Trae Gurley, will honor the release and Elvis's legacy by performing the album in its entirety with his RCA Studio B Band (Jared Hall on piano, Eric Jones on organ, Bill Smith on guitar, Ira Miller on percussion, Marc Chesanow on bass, and Igor Fiksman on pedal steel guitar). JJ Collins & the Gospel Gurls (Natasha Drena, Rebecca Flaherty, Emily Hall, and Jenny Woodruff) will also be featured.

The concert is a benefit for Loop It Up Savannah. Savannah artist Panhandle Slim will create one-of-a-kind King-themed works of art for the event, available for auction.

Thursday, October 26, doors at 7 p.m., show at 7:30 p.m., $20, all-ages
