I, for one, am very proud of our new mayor. I was impressed with his inaugural speech and continue to be inspired by his leadership with each passing week. We're very fortunate to have him as our mayor during this time of crisis. I'm glad to have Van Johnson looking out for Savannah and standing up for us.
What a wonderful article, Dusty. As a newcomer to Savannah (from California), I'm more than a little surprised that the equality I took for granted is not reflected here in this beautiful, dynamic and welcoming city. It is coming, however. The tide is with us as we convince more and more of our fellow Americans that people are just people, and our differences are our strength.
