    Two points ...
    1) People may believe in climate change, but they don't want to do "hard" or expensive things to combat or stop it. To paraphrase, it's an "inconvenient truth."

    2) Activist fatigue must be fought with what works in today's society .... constant change and new ways to entertain. If you are asked to do something day in and day out, or even every week, fatigue sets in. A new spin and new leading voice can help keep things fresh and interesting.

All in all it is slowing down action .... and slowing down is not what the climate needs now.

Nice "farewell" article. I'm sure we will see you around Savannah if you come to events on the calendar that tickle your fancy. Finding your niche and changing it from time to time constitutes a lifetime well spent.

I would suggest that those in the press, and citizens across Savannah and Chatham County just start CALLING it the "Savannah Bridge." Even if the name is officially changed, we must stop CALLING it the Talmadge Bridge .... and that habit will be hard to break, and I predict there will be steps outlined to do this at some point.

In the meantime, we need to get on with this change of habit. We actually have the "power" to change the name ourselves. And if discussion comes up in the confusion, then we have the opportunity to illuminate Talmadge's actual racist beliefs. History and education .... let's not ignore an opportunity that might not come again for some of us.

When you see Lisa in person, ask her this question: "If it came to a vote in the Congress, would you vote YES or NO to leasing the Atlantic east coast for drilling of fossil fuels?"

    Re: “Spring Plant Swap
I love this event, both in the spring and in the fall! After quite a few years attending, I see people that I never see the rest of the year. The conversation is just precious ... and for new gardeners and those moving here from other parts of the country .... well, you will see what grows good here. My aim every time is to find one thing I never saw or heard of before .... and usually I do.

We had seen Bernie in Charleston in September, so I just enjoyed myself walking up and down the long line wrapped around the Civic Center, talking to Bernie supporters and whipping up enthusiasm! Oh yeah, and taking photos .... https://www.facebook.com/events/1680348545…
