A-freaking-men! I whole-heartedly agree with you. I live out in Ellabell (about 30 minutes from Savannah). Pembroke, the next closest town, had an ordinance stating that Trick-or-Treating could ONLY be done between 6pm and 8pm on Saturday. I was so peeved when I heard this. I had made plans for my toddler son Saturday evening, and then had plans to attend an adult Halloween party later that night. Finding out that we HAD to Trick-or-Treat on Saturday threw a wrench into all of my plans. Not to mention the fact that I'm a Halloween enthusiast and traditionalist. Halloween is OCTOBER 31. Period. End of story. School is not an excuse, and anyone who says it is is full of it. No one has a problem with Trick-or-Treating on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. But when it falls on a Sunday, the circus is unleashed and everyone complains. Why? We live in the bible belt. Anyway, I'll hop down off my soap box now before I get nasty.
