"Assault Rifle". Ugh. Here we go AGAIN.

The definition of an "Assault Rifle" is a shoulder fired weapon which fires an intermediate round and is capable of burst or full automatic fire.

The SKS is a CARBINE. It does not and never has had the capability of firing in either burst fire or full automatic fire.

Please STOP the fear mongering.

Well, ya see it's kinda like this... Jay neither looks like Otis nor is he a member of the NFBPA. Label me a "racist" if you want to open that can of worms, but truth is truth and sometimes it's real uncomfortable.
