Take a free, guided tour of an archaeological dig in Savannah where plantations once stood and Civil War activity took place! 90 minute tours, Tuesday - Saturday, March 19 - May 11, 2013 at 8:30, 10:30, 12:30, and 2:30. Reservations required for groups of 11 or more, at relliott@newsouthassoc.com. Archaeology conducted by New South Associates for the Georgia Department of Transportation. Tours March 19-23 will include the interactive ArchaeoBus, Courtesy of The Society for Georgia Archaeology! Moderate walking required. Closed-toe shoes recommended. Photography welcomed. No artifacts may be removed. Children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
