Anthropocene is an art exhibit about how humans have profoundly affected the landscape of the earth since the Industrial Revolution. Has the manner in which artists depict the landscape changed? If so, why? This exhibit showcases artists’ observations and rendering of the landscape and explores the rational for the artist’s choices of subject, style, materials and methods. A wide range of contemporary renditions of the landscape are explored (from idealized to realistic to abstract).
