Lilly Harms -- The Downtown Athletic Club Gallery at One East Broughton Street will feature works in oil by non-objective artist Lilly Harms through August 1. There will be an Artists Reception, free and open to the public, on Friday, June 25, from 6:30 until 8 p.m. with hors doeuvres by Kayak Kafe.
Pioneering Craft: CNC Technology in the Creation of Furniture -- SCAD presents this exhibit through July 5 at Pei Ling Chan Gallery, 322 MLK Jr. Blvd. Free and open to the public. This exhibition features studio furniture that incorporates CNC technology in the building process. Traditional, contemporary and abstract tables, seating, screens and cabinets made of varied materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, ebony, cherry and maple, will be on view.
The Poetry of Light: A Survey of Contemporary Lighting -- This SCAD exhibit explores the medium of light through the creative work of artists who have found a balance between art and production. June 18-July 3, Bergen Hall Gallery, 101 MLK Jr. Blvd. Free and open to the public.
Into the Great Outdoors -- SCAD presents this exhibit June 24-26, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at Pei Ling Chan Garden for the Arts, 324 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. For the exhibition, four furniture makers worked with SCAD students to create temporary outdoor installations. Materials used in the installation range from steel and railroad ties to willow and maple.The exhibition is free and open to the public.
Black & White -- SCAD presents this exhibition of works on paper highlighting the elegance and subtle nuances inherent in black-and-white processes, through July 12, at Pinnacle Gallery, 320 E. Liberty St. This exhibition is featured on the colleges monthly gallery hop, Friday, July 9, 5-7 p.m. Both the exhibition and gallery hop are free and open to the public.

CURV-ITURE: Studio Furniture Celebrates the Curve -- through Aug. 1, at Red Gallery, 201 E. Broughton St.
This juried exhibition features studio furniture in all media that incorporates the use of the curve as a design element. Tables, seating, cabinets and other furniture from artists throughout the United States, as well as Canada and Australia, will be on view.
