One of the most tragic losses in Savannah was the passing in January of the great Howard Morrison, a mentor to Savannah leaders and community organizers for generations.
“How do we empower people to live up to their maximum potential?” is what he likes to ask the most. “That encompasses everything that I’m interested in,” Morrison told Connect in an interview last year, when he won the same honor from our readers.
