A holiday art showcase featuring Savannah’s Shannon Lancaster’s (nom de plume, Lady Lancaster) will be held Thursday, December 15 from 4-5:30pm at the Oaks at Habersham, 5200 Habersham Street. Proceeds from sales of Lancaster’s watercolors, photographs, and writings from her future book, “Finding the Joy in Cooking and in Life” will go toward her medical care expenses. A graduate in historic preservation and architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design, the vivacious Lancaster says she has been creating art since she was able to hold a crayon. She currently resides at the Oaks assisted living facility while recovering from several illnesses.

Saturday, December 17, between noon and 5pm, the second monthly Tybee Tour de Art will take place at various north end shops and restaurants. Find full details at tybeetourdeart.com. Parking for the December market is free when using the PARK TYB app. Maps are available at Tim’s Bikes where you can receive a 15% discount on bike rentals. Or better yet, for $5, Breezy Riders will run a bus between all locations. Follow @tybeetourdeart for in-depth artist spotlights.
