Re: “CO Savannah’s Pan-Asian odyssey

Let me say this to clear things up: I don't write about a restaurant I don't like. Period. Sure, even places I like may have some negative points, but if the general feeling is, I can't wait to go back!, then I do tend to emphasize the good, if only because I like the place and want to encourage business. I've been to places where I had BAD experiences, or the food was mediocre, the servers snarly--but you won't find me writing about those places because I don't spend my time on substandard restaurants. I pay for my own meal, I go out of curiosity and interest and I write them up because I consider the experience a good one. I've had over 20 years in the food biz, from server to sous-chef, assistant mgr to baker, so I know it from the inside out, not just as a customer. I hope people use my articles as info when they are looking for a place to eat out--I don't like to waste my money on bad eateries, and I figure nobody else does either. In the end, my work serves to inform, interest and encourage local business.

Re: “La Canasta: Genuine Mexican

You're Welcome, Marie! I love this lil' joint and the sweets are to die for! Also, I think they have the best chicken empanadas in town!
